Bricks in Space

LEGO Designer: Dan Fallon (phreaddee)

Developer + Sound Engineer + Musician + Technologist + Space Nerd + AFOL + Very Proud Dad– Sums me up pretty well.

I’ve always loved LEGO. As a kid I had classic space, blacktron, pirates and city sets. But I grew up and grew out of a lot of these, my last set I got was Technic 8857 in 1993. As a teenager I was more into model kits, or Warhammer 40k, before focussing more on my creative paths which have formed my career ever since.

This all changed though in April 2017. I stumbled on an article that showcased the upcoming Saturn V set. I’d always been a space nerd, but this was an exceptional model, and lego, and BIG! I just had to get it. I opened my eyes again to what lego was and what could be created with it. I saw the Modular series for the first time and was blown away. I ordered Assembly Square straight away. I also came across LDD then too. This was revolutionary for me. The sleepy lego giant had fully woken up. The possibilities were endless. In May of that year I began work on my ISS model, by August I had came across the facebook group. The rest, as they say, is history.

The community here is fantastic and everyone is so helpful, keen to share ideas and collaborate. As a result I wanted to offer something back to the community that gave so much to me, therefore, I started this website. It’s been a challenging process, but rewarding, I hope you all get out of it as much as I do.
