Juno I

This is a 1:110 scale replica of the Juno I rocket in Lego.

This is the rocket that put the first American satellite into orbit, Explorer 1. Juno I is 21.2 meters (69.5 feet) in height and 1.78 meters (5.8 feet) in diameter.

This model is built at 1:110 scale, like the official Lego Saturn V rocket. The model stands 19.2 centimeters (7.6 inches) tall.

The Juno I consisted of a Jupiter-C first stage which was based on the Redstone missile. Second stage was powered by 11 small solid rocket boosters. The third stage had 3 solid rocket boosters and the fourth stage had 1 booster.
