Between August 1966 and August 1967 the five identical, uncrewed Lunar Orbiter spacecraft successfully mapped 99% of the lunar surface, the first three missions surveying potential Apollo landing sites. It ran more or less concurrently with the Surveyor program, and Surveyor 1 is even visible in one of the frames taken by Lunar Orbiter 3.
Designer Notes
The base is modelled on a section of a photo taken by Lunar Orbiter 1 (frame 1007).
Part count: bricks, lots.
